I wouldn't call him a scumbag for wanting to help. The intention is good, it just isn't practical or as useful. That's like if you're really hungry and one friend offers you mints, and then you see another one after that has a pizza and offers you some...does that make the first friend a scumbag? No. The first friend is only a scumbag if they have pizza AND mints. This whole thing is kind of convoluted, I'm gonna go eat some pizza.

He's obviously just trying to be funny. The problems come when people instead of laughing, agree with the joke or take it seriously. My family is Jewish. I don't guilt Germans over the holocaust or Egyptians over some biblical sh*t.
