There are a lot of obviously young commenters who need to educate themselves about the history of Israel and the Jews from sources other than any news outlet of any kind. Like history books. If all of your neighbors had weapons pointed at you while yelling about how much they hate and want to kill you, and built tunnels so they could access your house from under it, I'm sure there's little you wouldn't do to protect yourself and your family. Israel has shown incredible restraint, given what they're capable of.
