What I mean is that so many people bring their culture here that there really isn't any original american culture. All you really have in the "american" culture is just combination of many and there's not really a definition of it.

But though to answer your question, a normal civilian man caught with the fire fights in eastern Ukraine or Palestine would gladly take your place. And suicide is not okay and should never be an option. You should seek what you really want in life and start small from there instead of taking giant steps where if you fail, there's nothing to fall back on but emotional strain and large debts. Once your in this stage, you know you have to work twice as hard than mostly everyone you know. You can make it if you just look at this as an opportunity instead of a large problem and just quit from there. All there's pretty much is to not be lazy and have a bit of luck. Also communication is a key, you can start from family members and relatives who you comfortable with and create a network of people from them. I know this probably wont help much as I'm just a high school student who observed a few friends and relatives going through the same problems as you but just please refrain from suicide.

You should feel good. All of my teammates in football always make jokes with my "ugly" (as they describe her) girlfriend to the point where every week i get "you can get better than that". So what if she has frizzy hair, small a-cup boobs, small butt size, skinny, and a bit of freckles. I think she is the most beautiful girl in the world and I think those features i just mentioned are great on her. Her personality is also heavenly amazing.
So tldr, feel good about yourself as someone will always find you either the most gorgeous person or the ugliest person in the world.
