Well if you look at the economy if it were to absolutely tank then shipping companies wouldn't run and food shortages would erupt resulting in riots that bring about destruction of the environment and in addition massive population decline we have a significant amount of environmental conservation and strong effort to stop the regressing state of the environment, we have to remember that the economy isn't just about money it is about distribution of raw materials
