I remember this! My sister and I used to be so bewildered by her legs!

Why is it so wrong for these kids to not like something they didn't grow up with?
I never played the NES nor the SNES. I was old enough to play it when it was most popular, but do I feel ashamed for apparently missing out? No! I played with a Gameboy Color, I messed around with an N64, I had a Gameboy Advance as a kid, played some old Nintendo games, yadda yadda yadda. I enjoyed that stuff pretty well, but am fine with the new stuff. I love the Wii/DSXL/whatever else more than my older stuff, to be honest. My smartphone is my baby, and I'm grateful to own one.
This is what I'm trying to say: It was great when were kids, sure. But these kids don't have to love our generation's toys. It's equivalent to our parents getting upset if we don't like every single thing that existed when they were teens (ie, their movies, music, etc). It's very, very childish and immature to get mad at this age group just because they didn't grow up with our (honestly outdated, just saying) gaming technology.

I didn't know what the NES was until I was around thirteen. I'm almost 20 now, and I still don't get the worship of the thing.

Denver, CO banned pit bulls. It made my roommates and I so mad because it's one of our favorite breeds.
