Before COVID relief bills of 2020, the spending under the trump administration was less than half of what it has been under bidens first single year.
The trump administration had a defect of 983 billion in 2019, while Biden has had a deficit of 1,837 billion in 2022 alone.
If you Google “covid relief bill 2020” you can see that the 900 billion in relef was a bipartisan effort, and is still half of of the 1.9trillion that was passed in 2021 under the Biden administration.
It seemed like a necessary measure given the information at the time. We’ve had 2 really bad presidents back to back, but to paint the Biden administration as budget managing specialists in comparison to the trump administration spending in 2020 and 2021 is not as simple as saying “my numbers beat your emotions” - granted, the numbers certainly make for a real argument that can be debated with other facts as opposed to the aforementioned emotional fabrications
