Words can be harmful lol. there is just as much logic in what I have against your case. Personally, I and many many others, were raised like this: do something bad and mom and pops say its bad dont do it again. After, youdo it again and get grounded, and after that if you still want to break the rules you got swats. There are implications above that this would cause psychological harm. Nope. I am actually a graduate student studying developmental psychology and that only applies to parents who use it inconsistantly and too much. There are soo many other things that were doing to our kids to mess them up lol. Thinks that parents dont even realize that theyre doing. I was raised with that punishment and it worked great! My children will be done the same. End of story.
