1) this is a year old, what the actual fuck. 2) learn how to read, because 3) the whole point of what I said was "degrees do not matter as long as you can do the job." Unfollowing comments now, bye.

Not to mention that dollar stores now have a lot of staples, and mom & pop corner stores have things like bread and eggs for lower prices. Milk is mandated and is the same everywhere, but a lot of millennials can't afford marriage, kids, or houses so they're buying fewer, cheaper groceries just for them.

More than 120 people showed. One guy took buses clear across the city to get there, Cole actually had to go to Home Depot for more shovels.

MRAs don't try to do anything to support other men. They spend most of their time attacking feminists and "exposing" problems they do nothing to try and solve. A pay disparity is a very real issue, you should get paid for the work you do. Trying to ruin a women's night viewing of Wonder Woman is a bullshit issue of the type MRAs like to do to pretend they care about other men.

Okay. So what are men doing about it? Lobbying like women do? Protesting like women do? Working to change it like women do? Or absolutely nothing, because they don't actually care about underpaid men in an industry and are only bringing it up to try to shut down another group's complaints?

But aren't true light sabers activated by the force? (Sorry for my ignorance, I don't watch Star Wars) And weren't force users a small minority of special people? So light sabers were only meant for a small handful of specially trained users, yes? Mass produced ones anybody can use would just cheapen the concept.

5. Publication guidelines for books put odd numbers on the right and even numbered pages on the left. 7 and 8 are on the same leaf in a common book.

There might be some diseases mostly eradicated in one place that keep cropping up in another, just like on Earth, but for the most part constant contact would probably keep each planet up to date with the other's vaccines. If the two planets lose contact for an extended time for some reason, then yeah, it's possible for people to become less immune to the other planet's diseases. It would be a really, really, really long time before the populations evolve into separate species though, so once contact was re-established and vaccines started flowing again it would probably even out.

Did you read my initial comment? It's not about confronting randos on the street. It's about confronting your friends or family when you witness this behavior. You're talking about a scenario where you're a stranger/witness and the only sway you have is as defense in the moment. I'm talking about people you've known a long time who you have a chance to influence in the long term. People you love and care about. Most people turn a blind eye completely to their friends' flaws and don't ever say anything at all because they are closer to the abuser than the victim. My comment is directed to those people--people who, no matter what, will NOT risk losing their friends by causing a scene. Which is many, many people.

Confronting many people in public can make them dig their heels in and become defensive, at which point you've lost your chance to have an impact. Especially the kind of person who would abuse. Not only that, but you risk them taking their anger at YOU out on the person they're abusing later. All that does is make you feel like you have the moral high ground when you walk away--something you may be able to do but a luxury most abuse victims don't have. You're not risking just yourself when you embarrass and anger an abuser, you're also endangering the person being abused.

Addendum: Girls and women, if you see your friends doing any of the above, call them out on it. You can do it in private, just let them know you saw it and it's not cool with you. If you're aware of that kind of problem and do nothing, you're complicit.

Yeah, should have just asked for separate checks and at least paid for his own items. He even could have gone to the hostess or server and requested his part of the bill separate, paid his, then left without going back to the table and still had the pleasure of leaving her there.

It's an IUD. It's inserted up into the uterus where the shape keeps it in place. It provides hormones to the body (the same ones in the birth control pill) that discourage pregnancy. It works for years, without maintenance. As opposed to a pill taken daily.

I don't think it specifically states in any texts that Magdalene was a whore. Most religious scholars say she certainly wasn't. She's just mentioned very close to a passage about whores, and people who have never read a true version Bible just parrot this as fact.

How would that work? 23 comments

The actual campaign was a contribution of multiple voices speaking up for the products, not a "look at this shine and style you can actually only achieve with a full time stylist and strong camera lighting" campaign. Besides, for a lot of women haircare isn't just about the hair itself. It's how they keep it, how they show or don't show it, how they style it, and how they accessorize it. Lots of people wear hijabs or even non-religious headscarves as part of their regular hair care. They use shampoo and conditioner the same as everyone else. It's an advertising campaign, they're advertising to them using the voice of somebody who lives the same routine. That's how you get market share.

Tax is taken out. Federal tax, medicare tax, medicaid tax, city tax, plus any health insurance if you get it. $7.25 is the minimum wage. $7.25 x 40 hours is $290. Speaking conservatively, you might take home 75% of this, though in some places it might be more like 60%. Lets go with 75%. So that's $217.50 for a 40 hour work week, with a conservative amount of taxes. Still short of the required $250 direct deposit. According to government statistics (2014, not very long ago), 36.5% of Americans are paid bi-weekly, so they're cool because their pay will be about $435 every two weeks. But....those same statistics say 32.4% of American jobs pay weekly. Which means, IF this is spread out equally among all companies (and not weighted more toward lower paying jobs) 32.4% of 40-HOUR min wage workers would not be able to make the $250 minimum direct deposit. Just a bit less than 1/3. Credit unions are formed specifically to keep high risk (low income, likely overdrafters) from joining.

Set up and receive at least two qualifying direct deposits of $250 or more each within the first 90 days of opening your new checking account. That's a direct quote. The deposit must be $250 or more, and there must be at least two. Not multiple paychecks adding up separately to $250.
