Sex Dolls will cook in the future 41 comments

@guest I literally spelled out in words that people can have as many sex bots as they want and I won't bother them. They're not hurting me, so I won't infringe on their right to do what they want. So my question is this: since I am not hurting or denouncing anyone, why am I not allowed to not want to interact with somebody who keeps a whole fake person in their closet? Nobody requires my time or friendship to live, I can withhold it for any reason I want. I don't hang out with vegans or heavy drinkers either, I'm not required by law to interact with somebody whose hobbies weird me out just because I don't mind if they have them.

Why do people care so much if people they aren't involved with want a sex doll? Like, I'm not dating you, what do I care what you legally stick your dick in? That's just more time in a day that I'm at no risk of having to interact with you somehow, go for it. Buy two. Enjoy.

So basically, she said "there's nobody in our lives I'll cheat on you with, it would have to be a one-in-a-billion occurrence for me to consider it" and he said "I'd sleep with half the females we know if I got the chance."

Why not just ask her to pay every other time, or go in halves? If you ask somebody that and they throw a fit over it, they're not somebody you want to date anyway. If they won't date you at all because you asked, you dodged a bullet because they're not somebody you want to date. Money will come up eventually if a relationship continues, and no matter what anybody says money is a serious issue. Finances have been known to break up marriages. "Do you want to go out again next week? Great. Please don't think I'm being cheap or anything, but would it be okay if we split the cost? I'm trying to set aside money for a down payment on my own house/a new car/insert symbol of financial responsibility here." If they actually like you and care about your feelings, they will be more than happy to shell out some of their own money to spend the time with you.

I'm pretty sure people who are up to 100+, 200+, and 300+ are just adding dollar bills plus change, not actual pennies.

Whole bay leaves are good for cooking but you need to take it out. It doesn't soften, and it can pose a risk to your digestive tract on occasion even if it isn't toxic. If you're not going to strain the food, use crushed bay leaf.

This is just badly worded. The "Penny Challenge" is ADDING one penny a day for 365 days. Day one you put in one penny, day two you put in two, day three you put in three, up to day 365 when you're putting in 365 pennies. All of those pennies for that year add up to $667.95.

Don't buy either bag. Invest $30 - $40 on some sale-priced pants or a dress with decent pockets.

I don't care who comes in from where as long as they pay taxes, as a huge portion of them already do. Streamline the fucking immigration process so fewer of them have to work under the table and everybody's paying in.

Because it was an attempt to come up with an acceptable term to make stubborn anti-civil-rights people stop using offensive ones like "negro," which while technically meaning "black" had horribly negative connotations. It was pushed into common use by Rev. Jesse Jackson in the 1980s I think, in response to terms like Irish American, German American, etc. Because many American blacks could only trace their ancestors back to colonial slaves, and they couldn't claim to be Ethiopian American or Tanzanian American. And while some came from areas in South America and the Caribbean, in many cases those ancestors had also been brought to those areas during the slave trade and ancestry tracking still hits a dead end. "Black" is the term for skin color, just like "white". African American is the generic ethnic origin term, like Italian American and Scottish American. Government terms are notoriously slow to change, which s why you see "African American" a lot in formal use.

Plus, since I don't think there are laws governing "use by" and "sell by" dates in the US, those are arbitrary. Donated food would be fine.

It's almost like cultivating various food sources that aren't based solely on what's growing in the local woods or wandering in a nearby field is one unique trait among many in a species that's so advanced it can now hurdle through fucking space in a pressurized metal container. Go back to your grass and sadness, weirdos.

Dudes, talk to your friends. And if your friends need to talk, don't be buttholes about it. Besides not accessing therapy, it's been said that men don't take advantage of their friendships to the same emotional level women do, and don't get as much help from their social network as a result. So if we could just get rid of this weird "only women talk about their feelings" thing, that would be very helpful for men who need support.

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know why the gregorian calendar starts the year when it does? Like, why January 1st is when it is, instead of on an equinox or solstice or other trackable celestial event?

If nobody cared, they wouldn't keep ending up arrested. But they do, and their faces are plastered across the news pretty regularly. And "nobody's talking about it...?" Does Ashley not read the news? Has she never heard of Corey Feldman? Terry Crews? Anthony Rapp? Lots of people talk about it. Lots of people have BEEN talking about it even before now. The problem is, when these boys go to the police or their friends, justice fails them because the (majority male) justice system STILL will not change and write the laws to include male victims. Because for some reason, the (majority male) justice system does not want to hold women to the same standard as men, because...because I don't know why, to be honest. I have no idea. I mean, holy shit, that one musician guy said a teen boy should have known better than to be alone with Kevin Spacey. A grown man said that. Just, what?
