Easy place to invade? That's what our armies and armed police forces are there for. Gun ownership among civilians is not going to stop an invasion - vigilantism is not the backbone of democracy and freedom and can lead to conflicts of interest when unorganised vigilante groups clash.
And no, criminals do not get to freely carry guns, the only owners are licensed carriers who can prove they require them. While the odd one is found on people here the gun laws are extremely efficient at minimising the circulation of such things, and makes it easier to track the sale of a gun from person to person.
No, getting rid of guns will not completely stop violent crime, however it's a lot harder to kill a lot of people with a close range melee weapon than it is to open fire with an automatic ranged weapon. There are just as many stories of unarmed civilians stopping major incidents of murder in europe as there are people with guns in america.

And yet countries with gun regulation have consistently lower death by gun rates than countries without them. The problem is not the guns themselves, or responsible owners like this, but the ease of access to deadly weapons for people who would use them for things like school massacres.

Cyberbullying 23 comments

The thing is cyber bullying often comes hand in hand with real world bullying. In my case my bullies were using it to circulate "proof" that I was a guy, and meet ups where they could pin me down and fondle my breasts and crotch to find more "evidence" (like specific days where a group would follow me home and jump me). I was ignoring all my online messages to try and avoid the hurtful comments, even from people trying to warn me this was being planned. It didn't work :/
It's not really something to be waved off, it can be very scary.

My school had a uniform, and granted I haven't been there for years, but there was absolute uproar when the school started trying to send girls home because their white bras were visible through their white standard issue uniform shirts. It doesn't necessarily follow that visible underwear is the fault of the girls'. I'm sure all the girls going braless with those shirts on would have caused far more chaos.
No, short shorts and exposed chests do not have a place in schools, for males or females. But considering most girls in secondary school have to wear a bra, it is unfair to discriminate against them for sleeveless shirts and bra straps being visible, when a male wearing exactly the same length of sleeve would not have that issue (unless he wanted to wear a bra I guess).
Also check out the rape mentality going on in the comments. People that find female bodies attractive are not animals, they are perfectly capable of exercising self control.

Who has these? 37 comments

Something like that. I remember reading about it being made up for some fiction somewhere, but I can't find that source now. I remember it being on wiki for a while, occasionally I think someone edits it in for a joke, before the mods take it out again.

Liz Taylor's eyes were dark blue, rather than violet. Violet only happens in people with albinism, though there is an urban myth about "Alexandria Genesis", which purportedly led to violet eyes, no periods, and no body hair. However there have been no confirmed cases of it, and all claims are completely unsubstantiated.

Tbh honest it's not funny and it doesn't matter what gender they are. Any non-consensual sexual act is still rape/harrassment, no matter if it's a female assaulting a male, or two people of the same gender.

Well the concept arose back when the suffrage movement was still happening, and women were in a considerably worse position than they are now (with no ability to vote, legally allowed be to beaten by the husband with a thumb thick cane - hence "rule of thumb" etc). It's basically an umbrella term for several campaigns that were going on at the time, largely around discrimination towards women, although some modern literature argues that the issues affect and harm men too, such as paternity leave and general application of gender roles. The only reason that true feminism is still "feminism" is because of the origins of the term. It's just unfortunate that misandrists have corrupted it into something else

Only if he grabbed a total stranger and continued after she said "no". If he'd gone up in 1950-whenever that was taken and grabbed an unwilling woman and done that to her he would still have been in trouble.

At least there can be more of these guys. There might only have been 12 a while ago but the American Alligator is fairly plentiful so there is always potential for more leucistic alligators :)

I was thinking the same thing. I pick up books for less than a pound and make things like this, or sculptures out of them. The most expensive thing is the paint!

It's suppose to be a way of stoners getting together to celebrate weed without anyone knowing. You're either supposed to smoke at 4:20am or pm. But it's so well known now it's sort of an unofficial holiday

I've only ever had it once, and spent part of my night having a staring contest with a girl hanging off my wall, laughing maniacally as all her skin flaked off D:
And no you don't have to be a light sleeper. It's something to do with when you wake up. As you sleep through the night you'll drift between levels of sleep. If you happen to wake up during REM sleep you're more likely to experience it.
