does the "all" category not actually show "all"? because i keep seeing these comments on things i have not seen before.

this is in large part why people notice things like, people won't always help a guy sitting in his broken car, but if someones pushing a car alone where there are other people, someone will almost always help. we always feel better giving help to people who are at least trying to help themselves.

actually the golden rule is probably dead on, because i would like people to help me out unless it puts them out... so i would help others out unless it puts me out... which would add up, i think, to stop helping people when they become mooches.

perhaps #3 should just be reworded to say something like, learn to cut your loses when a friend turns out to be a user, but maybe worded more eloquently.

yeah but.. to use it as a life guide... would iimply to never help anyone... while i would agree if someone appears to be using you you need draw back... i think we need to always help our real friends, or even people who are not our friends...

it depends on the type of bullying. sometimes all it takes is one time standing up, but sometimes thats not safe and you need to go to an authority figure. i was lucky in school, i only needed to stand up once and my worst bully left me be, but i was in a tame progressive place where "bullying" consisted of sometimes stirring up my food and mostly just verbal taunts... much of bullying is more severe and standing up can be risky. there is no one size fits all for these things.

theres a huge difference between standing up for others and fighting... if you teach your kid to go slug someone making fun of another kid, you're doing it wrong.

it is weird, but it is a semi common weird. i used to eat straight ketchup, and i frequently make things because i am craving the ketchup i will dip them in and not the food itsself.
