i celebrate Christmas as an American tradition, most major holidays have roots in multiple religions and its ok to celebrate some form of them simply as a holiday to celebrate family and whatever core notion is celebrated that holiday. While ostensibly Christmas is about the birth of Christ, it is also about giving and family and spreading cheer and joy throughout, and the fact is the exact manner of celebration tends to vary by nation making each version more about traditions. its like so many holidays involve things no adult actually believes in and old stories and myths, why do you need to believe in the religion the holiday is currently named after? my celebration varies a bit since i don't have any Jesus or manger stuff, but to me the best part is going to my friends house and watching her kids rip open presents, which means a large part of the meaning of the holiday is right there, religion free.
