she may have been a judge, but on the show she is not acting as one. whats happening on her show is called arbitration.

i miss living up north cuz we'd fill several bags of apples up at the orchard and keep them in the basement all winter and have crisp delicious apples for half the year. like no part of that sentence is possible in florida.

i mean, she isnt really, at least not from a legal standpoint, but you sign a legal contract to abide by her ruling when you go on the show...

does this mean you do not clean your trash can? and also that sounds like way more work than simply pouring in the cereal and giving the container a quick wash when its empty.

you can sue but the odds of you getting fair compensation (if you can really be fairly compensated for such a thing) are slim

i used to peel my apples. i think switching to a better tasting apple is the only reason i stopped. honeycrisp cost too much but at least i do not have to fight myself to eat them

the church of FSM is another common "religion" for atheists to use to make a point, just unlike satanism its *all* athiests and not a mix of people who believe in other varying degrees of things. http://www.venganza.org/ if you google for satanism definitions most sites (outside of fear mongering sites belonging to churches) will clearly break down the types of satanism, with a large segment of the satanists actually being atheists. most of the people trying to get satanic statues in public places are doing so to make a point, pretending to worship satan to demonstrate why the christian symbols have no place in gov't by juxtaposing satan symbols into the same place in the name of freedom of religion.

yeah i am pretty sure ladasha is just a myth to perpetuate what people WANT to think is true about "certain segments of society"

i find the whole funeral thing so morbid... even the religious think the body is just a vessel for the soul so why are we putting a corpse on display? how is that not disrespectful? i don't care that much cuz when im dead im dead, but unless a family member has some NEED for a viewing i would prefer they skip that farce and just burn me and have some sort of drunken in memory gathering or something... the whole thing is silliness and its silliness turned into vicious profiting off grief stricken family because its made out to be something you HAVE TO DO or you clearly don't CARE about them. i could go on for pages.

this is a specific type, magic wand type. the "eraser" is a big vibrating ball and its amazing. this type is more expensive, and sold more as a massager, and more literally useful as a genuine massager than the other... massagers...

i don't care for uggs, but its fascinating how they go against the general shoe trends. like crocs are also ugly and popular but they are liked ver specifically for comfort and not really worn to be trendy, but uggs got into that rich pretty blonde niche as a cute high end boot when its.... not..

what? its significantly deeper than that. its unpleasant to be questioned about it, but theres always people who will swear that so and so would never do it, he said vs she said gets really ugly and shaky "evidence" of a woman "asking for it" runs rampant.

typically if you concentrate on an individual and think about them and their life and imagine what their day to day is like you will almost immediately start to feel more real empathy for them

yeah... while some of the spellings get a little crazy, its stupid to hate on people for how they spell their names. i mean i LOVE the spelling of my name (Jayne) even if it means i gotta correct people non stop on saying it (its not janie)

we're naturally built to have "tribes" so its normal to not have the same feelings for distant people. most the people who react strongly to these things do so because something about the people has made them a part of their "tribe"... like military caring about other military who die.. because they can relate, the similarity makes them part of the "tribe". back to my example of my friends loosing kids, i don't feel the same about strangers loosing kids, unless i actually concentrate on humanizing them as people i could know, but a person WITH kids might relate more instantly because "mommies" becomes a type of "tribe" its also the same reason its so easy for people to hate large groups (like the current hate hardon people have for muslims) because they immediately become an unrelateable tribe and not humans with families that just happened to be born in an area where they were raised calling god a different name and reading a different book.

while this is great in theory, fear of being accused of lying already keeps people from coming forward. its the very reason lying about it is so despicable, because every person who lies makes actual rape victims that much more of a victim, and you cannot pass strong laws about it because they can be turned against true rape victims too.
