i dont really think this meme was intended to imply that all muslims caused 9/11, just that all the people who caused 9/11 where muslim. kinda like all the people who picket military funerals in the name of god are christian, but not all Christians are picketing military funerals.

i mean unless you go like studying charts of facial features and regions you really cant tell without direct exposure, for any 'race'... like, i grew up in an area with a lot of hmong so i can often guess correctly if someone is hmong because i have an idea of how they look slightly different, but damn sometimes theres people who i cant even tell if they are asian or latin. and with our ever diversifying world these lines will only grow more and more vague.

no thats exactly what they want, they believe in some literal interpretations of their scripture and having all the superpowers rain down hell on them is supposed to trigger some sort of Apocalypse that brings them to the top, and also, they really do want us to hate muslims, so that the moderate muslims feel our hate and are turned to their side out of desperation.

something felt weird about it to me for the gay thing too, but i think the gay one was different because it was more like a political sign of which way you stand on a voting/political issue where now its... i'm still struggling to find words for why i don't care for the paris one, like i am all for showing sympathy and whatnot, but it feels like a hollow gesture?

its just human nature to associate familiarity with trustworthiness.. you know and love that celeb so you trust them, which is extra problematic because they are not really LYING so the trust isn't misplaced, the problem is they are just WRONG about the facts, and no one knows joe schmoe Dr. so they believe the celeb they adore.

i would think that being told as a child that boys do not care of baby dolls probably has something of a lasting effect into adulthood, not like if its a one time incident but i would find it hard to believe that a male child who grew up being told not to play with pretend children would not internalize some of the idea that the girls are the ones who take care of the real children too
