Odd still that the English words are written underneath.

Maybe it's supposed to be a joke, but in my opinion this picture completely misinterprets the glass metaphor?!?
In the metaphor the glass represents your life, the universe and everything that happens in it.
So it hasn't been filled or emptied prior to existing. The glass was always there, since the universe was created, and always filled 50%.
(Btw I believe the glass is half full as you can see.)

The debate was about how to save energy in order to live more environmentally friendly (and also prepare for a shortage of gas in Germany this winter)
Baden-Württembergs green party Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann talked about some measures he takes in his own life in order to save energy, and also said something along the lines of "You don't have to shower all the time, a washrag is a useful invention".

Historians and political experts have still not been able to nail down an exact definition for the idea of fascism. It's a word that gets thrown around a lot by people who don't know what it means. For me, the definition is as follows : "Fascism is a form of extreme right-wing ideology that celebrates the nation or the race as an organic community transcending all other loyalties."
I do therefore not believe Canada is a fascist country.
Neither is China, but China is as vulture capitalism as it gets. China is so libertarian when it comes to economics, you can pretty much do anything to make money. Sell slaves, human organs, anything. As long as you don't criticize the government, you're good.

Not to be a party pooper but:
"No segment of our research aroused more outrage and shame than the story of the residential schools ... the incredible damage – loss of life, denigration of culture, destruction of self-respect and self-esteem, rupture of families, impact of these traumas on succeeding generations, and the enormity of the cultural triumphalism that lay behind the enterprise – will deeply disturb anyone who allows this story to seep into their consciousness."
Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples – Commission royale sur les peuples autochtones 1996.
You might not want to joke about that shit.....

Starvation is most certainly on the rise, not on the decline. Not only in absolute but also in relative numbers.

Where do you find the idea that global warming is good for food production and makes arable land? Where do you live?
@e we are chill, some people genuinely enjoy discussing these things with strangers on the internet:)

No need for vulgar language my friend
Starvation is an issue that has increased over time.
Humans in hunter-gatherer societes were very well nourished because their diet consisted of such a wide variety of plants and animals.
After the agricultural revolution humans became smaller and weaker because their nutrition became more monotonous.
If we look at the causes of starvation today the main reasons are:
- Economic speculation with agricultural products
- Plantation of plants used for biofuel (sugarcane, oil palm) instead of nourishments
- Usage of edible plants such as wheat and corn for biofuel
- Usage of a huge portion of the agricultural land for the meat industry (overall consumption of too much meat by few people)
- Global warming rendering soil unusable
Which all come by as either a direct or indirect result of the industrial revolution, globalization, and the path away from our natural way of living.

I believe you're trying to say is: human innovation has made the life of the individual much more comfortable.
But I think that the OP was meant to go from the concrete (human being) to the abstract. Claiming that the overall state of mankind was better before the industrial revolution.
Not even speaking of the extinction of other species, the pollution of nature and climate change which come as a direct result of the industrial revolution.
As all humans aimed for tiny progresses which made their life a little bit more comfortable, huge and onforeseen consequences arised in the long run...

I don't believe that our bodies and minds are made to live like we do now.

Some argue it's been downhill ever since the agricultural revolution.
But it very certainly has been since the industrial revolution. This post-modern existence is but a joke....

The main point of constructing pyramids was to make a tomb as high as possible in order to be remembered after death. The pyramid shape is how you have to arrange stones in order for them not to fall down for a long time. This is not a lack of imagination, this is physics.

Why would his old age break your heart ?
Living to an old age is not a bad thing. Not being able to live to an old age is a bad thing.
Also, King of Queens rocks.
