If we have an ever growing population and decreasing resources, a vegan diet wouldn't be viable. Plus not everyone can safely have a meat free diet, and more who can still have to take vitamins and supplements since a vegan diet doesn't provide everything needed sometimes.

Personally, if someone wants to not shaved their body hair, it's their choice and theirs alone, they don't have to act like it's a big political move to save a few bucks on razors.
