Yes, prevention is super important, I agree with that.
You should do everything you can to prevent situations like this, but at the same time you gotta be prepared for when shit goes sooouuuth.
I guess everyone thinks differently though.

One more piece of advice I will leave you with is to avoid tunnel vision, which is where your vision becomes more narrow and it gets harder to think.
Just take a 3-7 deep breaths while still making moves and your vision will be clearer and you will be able to think better and keep your cool, increasing your chances of quickly composing or remembering a plan and of surviving.

I will quit pointing out flaws and actually try to help people, so here we go:
Rule number one:
Don't panic. You can be anxious, excited, etc. But try not panic and you'll be fine.
However, if you feel you must panic, allot some time for panicking ( like 5 mins ) if time permits. In this situation, I'd take 10-15 seconds to get the initial panicking out of my system as the car is sinking but after time is up, then you have to "snap" yourself out if it. This will require summoning some courage. But makes the situation a bit more manageable.

And really. There's no way to prove that there isn't illuminati, like how you can't 100℅ disprove "god".
However, through close examination and some common sense, you can come up with a very close estimate of what the reality actually is.
