I have been there several times and can only say good about it. If you don't believe me, all of world Jewry will despair. Not because your one, small opinion really matters, but because the next Holocaust or Spanish Inquisition or any other stories from history where Jews were targeted is going to happen in America. Because when good people condemn those who really just wanted life and peace, we are all, to put it bluntly, screwed.

Going to no killing civilians, I totally agree. Killing innocents is a big no no. But, Israel does so much to tell the people of Gaza to go to safety, even sending fliers and telling the where they will be targeting. But, Hamas prevents its people from finding shelter. Seriously, read the book The Son of Hamas.
I heard a speaker a while ago talk about his journey from utter hatred of Israel to love for the land. He grew up in an area in Britain where everyone hated Jews and Israel, so he came to be that way too. But one day, he decided to read a book called The Case for Israel (which I also recommend). He started it thinking he was going to disprove everything in it, but he found that HE was wrong. After visiting the country he found himself in love with it and everything it stands for (which is not what yo are saying, most Israelis and Jews are peace lovers. Especially after what all the wars, etc). As an Orthodox Jew myself, I am telling you, Israel is an amazing place.

asteroid, you seem like a person who truly hates murder. The good news is, I so too. But you have been got to understand that so much of the media (CNN comes to mind) is so shockingly anti-Semitic. And yes, a country and religion are not really tied, but Israel has been called the Home of the Jews for centuries. Therefore, many anti-Semitic people DO think of the two together.

Do you understand the extent of what Hamas does? They not only try to murder Israelis and Jews, but their own people in Gaza. Why? So their death tole is much higher than the Israelis (who want to protect people) so the media will hate Israel. Congrats, you have fallen into their trap. Hamas doesn't care about the lives of people. Any people, their's, America's, or Israel's. I am not saying this from personal experience. I say this because the son of one of Hamas's FOUNDERS says this.
