I never got fucked up by yellow wallpaper, I just saw it as an enjoyably creepy tale in a slew of boring stories we were given :D

well you should, its really good :D I read that, Most Dangerous Game, and Owl Creek Bridge back in elementary school, and while its not mentioned here, we also read 'Survivor Type', which is a Stephen King story, which had an amazing adaptation thanks to one of my favourite shows of all time Creepshow :D
