Garlog, though I agree that morality is subjective and a construct, you have the wrong stance. These are the morals of most humans, and the laws in most countries. You should still follow them even though you don't agree with the philosophy behind it.
You wouldn't go to Saudi Arabia then not abide by the no women driving laws would you ? No. Because those are the rules there. Though you may think it's stupid, you can't just not follow them. You wouldn't go to an alien planet and break all their laws, because that's how things work there.
Maybe one day the world will change where everyone thinks the same, but right now we aren't there. So if you don't agree on a philosophical view, you still have to decide other peoples business with the views we hold here.
And I'm pretty sure no regard for moral right or wrong can sometimes land you in a mental hospital because they believe with no morality you can be a danger to others with no remorse.

I remember when I was a teen I made completely irrational decisions, but for some reason I was so sure they were the right thing to do. Though cutting yourself is extreme and shouldn't be done, these are children we're talking about. Telling them they're stupid and they're problem isnt real doesn't make them see what's wrong.

Different people matter more to different people. Like, maybe someone's husband died. They're going to lose their shit but you didn't really know them or feel anything for them, just saw them around every so often. You won't grieve the way they did because you didn't feel the same way.

Well, first off, there's really no room to stretch the truth with a dog getting shot. In human cases they can usually lie and say they fought back. Charges could be falsified.
This, though, is a case where it is obvious and horrible that the police screwed up.

They still went into the wrong house and killed someone's pet. They had no warrant or reason.
The problem isn't that it was a service animal that died, but the police fucked up ROYALLY by killing someone's dog because they were scared.
Isn't that one of the main reasons people get a dog ? Protection ? That's what the dog was doing, so they didn't have the right to kill it.

That's happening right now in some places and we aren't doing anything about it.

I think the reason of prison is to keep them away from doing what got them in there in the first place. It's not a form of rehabilitation unless the prison offers it.
So of course they won't learn from it since that's not what they're trying to do.
