Every union on the west coast needs to be knocked down. The corruption, nepotism, and outright criminality is bblatant. I would actually prefer a mafia, because the Don at least has a vested interest in keeping the streets clean and usable.

I do size people up. I spent some time in some bad neighborhoods, nevermind the army training me to never go into a place or situation without a plan.
It's not so much being afraid of being attacked. Just being ready. For the same reason some people keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen, a trauma kit in the car, or a hatchet in their hiking pack. Just a precaution, in case I do encounter someone intent on threatening my or anyone else's life, limb, or senses.

I've heard people say that I shouldn't have a gun, because if they had a gun they "would've killed people over petty shit". Like? That you would even say that is why all your neighbors should have guns. And anyone who has any interactions with you. Because you're 6'4 and almost 300 pounds of muscle and fat. If you decided to fuck me up over petty shit without either of us having guns, I'm fucked.

Maybe. But a lot of workers are absolute shit. I got a 2 dollar raise at one of my part-time jobs just for showing up 10 or 15 minutes early instead of 2 hours late like the others.

The 2nd Ammendment is a doomsday provision. For when the government fails to defend American lives, livelihoods, and liberty.
The oath I swore, which has no expiration date, was to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies. Foreign and domestic.
If the Supreme Court ruled otherwise, that would have made them a domestic enemy, I feel.

Yeah, it's pretty ingrained in the American consciousness. Especially after Katrina, the BLM riots, covid, and the police being defunded or outright saying that we're on our own.

Yeah, no. It is not "faux". That they ever had the rule is a testament to their hubris and stupidity. To think that they know better than the kid or their parents isn't a policy mistake, but a moral one.
