Castillo didn't attack anyone. Him and Kyle have that in common. They both responded to someone else instigating violence. Biggest difference is that only one of them had the tools necessary to survive the encounter.

If you can't see the difference between an active spree shooter and three rioters (who were verifiable armed and attacking with lethal force) trying to murder a kid who was running away (not an active shooter) who even told the man who riled the mob up that he was "going to the police", that is your malfunction entirely.
