As much louder as actions are, in this propaganda struggle voicing dissent still matters. And I've been through the US education system. We cover the holocaust from 2nd grade onwards. You know what else teaches the horror of the Holocaust? The recordings, pictures, interviews, and books that we covered year after year from elementary school through graduation. A single district deciding to take a comic book off the curriculum is in no way a "ban", nor is it preventing students from learning about the horrors of authoritarianism and blind obedience.

When Luty was charged and convicted for writing it. And then when the state came after another man for just buying the book. I think this is a hell of a bigger problem than a comic being taken off one district's 8th grade curriculum, but what do I know?

That concept is called "civil disobedience", and has been used to great effect by the likes of Ali, Parks, and other Civil Rights icons.
But it does seem rather foolish to resort straight to doing prison time when legal avenues still exist. Which is besides the point, nobody said anything about masks. Maybe if we our foot down back then, we wouldn't be talking about door to door jab checks, being sent to camps, or denying healthcare to people based on who is more willing to be injected with a vaccine that isn't.
