I've read several reports that they sell most of the donated hair and even charge cancer patients for the wigs: https://www.forbes.com/sites/quora/2013/05/13/locks-of-love-6-million-of-hair-donations-unaccounted-for-each-year/#6c40b4b75fd0

OMG that happened to me, not exactly, but close: there was a dance recital and the dresses were very expensive so my grandma was gonna make mine, when she asked the color of the fabric I didn't remember and just said pink... It was white. They had to put me in the middle :'(

There were civilizations before colonialism; they had a language, social pyramid, politics, economic system, etc. We still don't know so much about the Mayans, Aztecs and other civilizations because the colonizers were not interested in cultural exchange and just erased them from existence... Oh but not without enslaving them first of course

You think a couple of people decided over a worldwide marketing campaign that could jeopardize their brand and nobody sanctioned it before it went live?

Pretty sure they did marketing research and estimated that the number of users they would lose wouldn't be that significant. This is capitalism we're talking about, look at what happened with Nike
