I agree on the flats point; I generally do not want to change when arriving at work. Nor do I want to carry extra shoes. But I do want to wear the shoes that best fit my orthotics and prevent my neuroma situation!

Wow. I actually don't know why I'm responding to you, but I feel you should know that my first memory I have of my life was sitting up in the middle of the night. My insomnia got worse over the course of my life and it even got a mention in the speech my father delivered to me for my wedding. So maybe you do jack-shit to work your empathy muscle.
