This dream could be about anything, really, but as the focus of the dream was homosexually loaded, a sexuality crisis seems to be the most obvious answer. (Of course, it could be something else entirely, but the human mind is too complex to figure out exactly what without an accurate patient-profile/a trusted patient bond, and even then it would be taking shots in the dark. As they say; No one knows your mind better than you. And as good as a therapist might be at finding the source of a problem, it might still not be everything to it.) OP could just as well be processing an offhanded homophobic comment as they could have more deeply rooted issues with other things related to this, hence why their brain is trying to make that connection. Perhaps it has to do with their relationship with the person in question? Or does this have to do with someone or something similar to that person or situation?

It's a theory in which OP's dreams are actually his/hers subconscious reaching out to tell them that while they might like people of the opposite gender, they might also like people of the same gender, or at least find a certain person attractive enough that a sexual act with them could be arousing. Or, as you say, they might be entirely homosexual but lives in deanial of this because of expectations or rules others have forced onto them.
This may pertain to how they were raised, whether or not they were taught the invisible rules of society and thereby, on an active or subconscious level tries to hide this to fit in. These kind of dreams can be what we call a mental Freudian Slip.
