Then don't read them. People are free to write what they want, no? They shouldn't limit themselves by other peoples desires. There will always be people that love these types of books.
Is not about what happens in the book but more of the message. Writing books about a girl's life changing after meeting a guy is bull to me. That just shows girls that their life purpose is to meet a guy and get married, but what happened to loving yourself, having a career, knowing what makes you happy; things 90% of females today have issues with and have a low self esteem because of it. This is where the competition between girls and fighting for a guy comes into play. I'm not a feminist (trust me, I'm not) but females these days really have self issues and believe it or not, it's due to the believe that their life wouldn't be complete without a guy, and that's bull to me.
Again, I would have to reiterate the point that if you don't like it, just don't read it. Maybe you're right, but if it's such a problem, don't concern yourself with it. :)
Dafuq: Oh, okay. Do you like reading them?
I tolerate the books, but I only like a few of them. I like more action and stuff and less romance. Luckily I'm not one of those girls who wants to have a guy in their life. I want to be a doctor, get rich and live alone without an asshole husband and ugh kids, because 90% of the time, a woman's life stops when she has kids, because she has to stay home, take care of EVERYONE, and besides , a doctor doesn't have time for that.
Ps, I even got the messy handwriting and all
Can I just say that that second post is how I actually started a role play once. Let me just say that I have a family of serial killers (the dad is a psycho who wants to take over the world, and the mom went to prison for kidnapping this girl and teaching her to kill) and they have like seven kids (it was eight, but one of the younger ones was told to go kill the guy in the basement but she was confused and killed her brother instead). All of the kids are raised to be killers and yeah this happened.
What pisses me off more is when I pick up like, a sci fi novel with a female heroine, and it becomes all about how she meets a boy. I'm like, NO! I did not want a romance novel!! I came here for an adventure, and now I'm reading a cheesy romance. NO.
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with these types of books? So what if a girl's life changes when she meets a guy? That's called love and that's what happens when you fall in it. There's nothing wrong with that.
Exactly, more women need to give up the ridiculous idea that they can have it all. You need to choose, career, or a family; don't be greedy because you will end up unhappy and unfulfilled. Most women are perfectly happy being a housewife; there is nothing wrong with that, however feminists make women feel bad about it and that needs to stop. Men and women are different, get over it. The reason men have accomplished more amazing things than women is because those amazing things are designed to get them laid (directly or indirectly) since women choose men and men have to prove themselves to the women. Philosophers for thousands of years have made this observation and it will never change.
