The cost of art isn't everything - if you like it, you like it; what isn't your cup of tea might be someone else's; if you prefer more modern art OR older art and want to buy it, in my book you should go right ahead - as long as you're going to enjoy and appreciate it, as well as understand something of the message behind the piece. That's the important thing about art (at least to me).
actually, most artists are really poor. It's like show business. Everyone thinks it's a lucrative career for money, but that's only a few people who get lucky in it. the rest are not making any money at all, basically. it's not very fair :(
#meblackbelt108,do you really think?
I have a lot of drawings (mostly) that all I have been able to get for them are ''Wow, you're a good artist, can you make a picture of me for FREE''
Man, ''for free''....
If i can only get one person say ''I love your art, I'd like to buy''....my day is made.
Art is something created it may not
Be detailed like the older paintings sometimes but it is a form of expression and emotion and that is romanticism in a nutshell reading into the scribble lines or the unproptional shape of the woman it holds a deeper meaning on what the artist is trying to express
Its fucking unbelievable at the amount of money people waste just to bloody buy an what so called "art pierce". They could spend that on such a good cause like maybe feeding the poor instead of decorating your wall!
