The state went bankrupt ... Even their medical plan has no money. Doctors have to wait 52-54 weeks to receive payment for services because the state has no money. ( most medical plans are self funded in the USA - the employer sets aside money to pay bills and the insurance company just administers and processes claims to make payment from these accounts)
They fell apart during the global recession and was abandoned. I didn't know what happened since I'm not American either, so I asked my dad who knows about his stuff and is right next to me.
And that is what happens when you trust the auto industry. My town used to be called Little Detroit... looks like big Detroit followed suit.

The auto business is alive and booming. But GM, the major auto business in Detroit went bankrupt. Since a lot of people have jobs there, a lot of people got let off. Unemployment went up, money to the state went down. And lickety split, you're bankrupt
Actually this is the OLD Cass tech.... I went there and recognize most of the classrooms and gym... They rebuilt the school right next door to it and this building is now torn down....
Everyone pays a tax for public education- I pay it too even though I currently have no children going to a public school. I am okay with that, though, because I want my country to have an educated majority. Terrible things happen when ignorance takes hold...
I'm not talking about education tax, I'm talking bout welfare. I don't know about you, but I've seen it handed to way more lazy people than needy people.
