People at my table do this if they see someone at lunch eatting alone we ail invite them over and ask them if they wanna sit with us. It can make someone's day
My friends and I usually invite new kids to sit with us but one time this kid developed an undying love for my friend and now we only invite girls to sit with us.
I love seeing people do this. I did this all the time in college/high school. But no one has ever sat and ate with me when I'm alone, it's probably because I have a mean looking face... At least that's what my husband says.
This is false. The two football players were already friends with the dude when the picture was taken. In fact, the pic was snapped and published without their permission.
Thank you. I was going to post this, but you already got it covered. They were also offended that everyone assumes they're sitting with him just because he's in a wheelchair. They've been friends for a while, and his disability has nothing to do with it.
I would always sit with this girl because she always looked sad and idk if she just preferred to be alone or needed a friend. But i would sit with her and we would barely talk but i felt she enjoyed the quiet company. She's dead now but i still felt like maybe i helped her through some days, or at least i like to believe i did.
For once, I partially agree with you mgoveia, not in the fact that they specifically think that, but that people kind of make others that already differ from us, (like with "disabilities" etc.) and make them more, for lack of better word, different, by giving them special treatment.
It could be that they were just nice people, or it could be that, but I actually became aware of this by reading the Fault in Our Stars and how Hazel called the privileges she got from having cancer "Cancer Perks".
