I'm gonna go nerd and say that the reason most people can't sleep nowadays is because of late night uses of screens on ipad, iPhone, etc. The screens emit a thing called Blue Light, which affects the ability to sleep. I had the problem for a while myself.
Put a cut off point on my screen time. I usually stop about an hour before going to bed. There are also screen protector filter thingies that help.
