Thankfully our door bell doesn't work

I never thought of it like that!

I'm not allowed to answer the door if I'm home alone. So once in a blue moon someone will come a-knocking and I'll just be chilling awkwardly watching tv, knowing they cam hear it but not getting the door. I just try to be invisible till they leave.
