False: There are many shades of gray in between, which is the point

It's actually kinda funny about black and white movies. They didn't do it on purpose then, but if you're doing like a movie-makeup that meant to be mimicking a black and white movie, you have to add a brown tone to remove the inherent blue color in the black. That's also why straight black hair dye looks blue and fake on someone.
