Isn't Lay's the American version of Walker's?

Yeah it is. Black ones in UK are BBQ.

So do Americans pronounce the Les of Les Miserables as 'L-E-Z', to make it rhyme (kinda) with Lay's? (Sorry if I'm being obtuse)

I don't. But, the black bag Lay's in America is BBQ flavored too. I don't get what's going on though.

What I'm asking is if this post - which likens the name Lay's Miserables to Les Miserables - is meaning Americans pronounce the Lay's the same as Les (in England, the Les is pronounced Leh, is all, so the pun of the post doesn't really work for me when said put loud). It's gotten a little confusing!
