Yes, because there is nothing better than having a cause shoved down your throat in the most obnoxious and annoying manner.
... and people complain about Jehovah's Witness
While we get to see straight couples and affection in ads, on tv, in magazines, in music, in the park, in the schools, and pretty much everywhere else. An ATM shouldn't be that big of a problem.
(different guest here) The difference is that all those straight couples you mention aren't meant to provoke a response, while this is. If ATMs used to not function for gay people and then a bank put out a press release that they decided to make them work for anyone regardless of gender, that'd be okay. But this is just an in-your-face annoyance.
Until society allows being gay to become the norm, just like being straight, anything they do will be considered "making a statement". They aren't trying to convert you, they just want equality.
For example, you see a straight couple kiss in public you don't think anything of it. A gay couple kiss and suddenly it's unnecessary and they're just activists trying to make a point.
We see a happy Hetero family on the side of a rental RV no one cares.
Suddenly gay ATM's and it's a huge effing thing.
Anything that the LGBT community does will be a statement until they reach equality.
I find it funny that the heteros are more excited about the sparkles than the homosexuals
P.s. We really aren't that sparkly, but... EEEEKK, THAT IS SO FREAKIN' FANTABULOUS!!! :)
