Definitely dude, there are probably a lot of men who tell women to get raped when they are angry at them. You'll probably meet them one day, all of you doing 25 to life together.
Fuck a star. Anyone that cares about having one shouldn't have one. I don't want one or care about having one. The people that want me to have one understand that I'm not a rapist nor do I condone raping. Ask about me but go ahead keep down voting if it makes you feel better
Yeah man, I hate it when the hysterical beeyotchs I tell to get raped get all defensive and take it the wrong way. Can't they see -I- am the victim? How dare people hurt my feelings for wishing rape on others. Please comfort me!
I know dude, just keep playing the victim, try to pull people over to your wishing rape side, and for God sakes don't apologize or say you might have been wrong, and you'll end up exactly where you are supposed to. Keep it up!
I know, right? I hate people who don't find rape hilarious like us, bro. There's nothing I like better then to kick back, tell a few jokes about violent sexual assault. Except tell the waitress I hope she gets raped if she gets my food order wrong. Amirite? Yay for bro solidarity for rape and boo for those evil witch's who don't find graphic sexual assault hilarious!!! High five!!!
I have been lurking this thread and think the the guest is hilarious, but I wanted to add the whole text of the Carlin joke, because ZM waay missed the point:

"Picture Porky Pig raping Elmer Fudd. See, hey why do you think they call him “Porky,” eh? I know what you’re going to say. “Elmer was asking for it. Elmer was coming on to Porky. Porky couldn’t help himself, he got a hard-on, he got horny, he lost control, he went out of his mind.” A lot of men talk like that. A lot of men think that way. They think it’s the woman’s fault. They like to blame the rape on the woman. Say, “she had it coming, she was wearing a short skirt.” These guys think women ought to go to prison for being cock teasers. Don’t seem fair to me."
There are jokes like this one point out absurdity, they shed light on what’s wrong with rape—what they don’t do is threaten. And that’s what therz did. Told an offensive joke, told the woman she must be the rape victim if she did not find it funny, and then told her to get raped. That is all- just want to stop my favorite comedian from being used in some sick rape solidarity moment - as you all were.
Dude, vindicated, chill! Let the broskis bond and defend each other over their superduper important rape humor.
Your "reality" or "logic" is not wanted there, 'K? We all know threatening women with rape, making light of rape, and suggesting that women who speak up be raped is super edgy- these bros are artists defending their right sexual assault in all verbal forms!!
It’s not like it's the norm. It is not something that women deal with every day. Maintaining the status quo around violence against women is revolutionary!
Although I don't condone threatening rape, I also don't think we should sit her and belittle and bully a person who made an extremely inappropriate joke about it. Even if -I- felt apologetic about what I said, I would be upset about being bullied online about it and, therefore, wouldn't apologize. Rape is wrong, threatening rape is wrong, but isn't it also wrong to drag this on and be bothered by it and ruin someone's day because they said something stupid recently? Y'all need to check yourselves too. We all have regrets that we run away from and sure, some may be BIGGER and WORSE than others, but really? If someone focused on something fucked up you did, you would fight back too. So be quiet all of you. If you don't like him, don't go on his posts, but please shut up about it.
Damn, and here I was wondering how the woman he told to go get raped and cry about it was doing. You're right, I have been looking at the wrong victim- here he kept taunting her and making more jokes here when it's obvious he just needs a hug and sympathy. Screw the girl who was threatened, save the man who did the threatening! Group hug?
Carlin also said, I believe in the same bit, that it's important how you construct the joke. That said, I haven't seen the joke in question, but from your reactions, I'm guessing it was a mess.
Well, I am convinced. You have converted this merciless moral crusader. I think men should be allowed to say what they what, whenever they want to women- no matter how violent it is. And god damn it, if those woman dare question our right to threaten them we can play the victim and rally around one another with our hurt manfeelings, because HOW DARE THEY.

How dare these women stand up and question therza. He did perfectly. He told her she was a victim of rape for not laughing along, and then bristled when she asked him what that made him for laughing. And then he did what all men should do, tell that loud feminist hen to go get raped and cry!!! Because how dare that cur not laugh? How DARE she talk back? She's just a woman, after all. Pathetic.
And you are a hero too, matrix, for being so bold and brave to take a stand for rape threats and violent speech against women, which we know needs protecting. It's not like you hear of women being raped, beaten, harassed, and all everyday- you are a freaking hero for standing up for a man perpetuating a very rare, and never heard of cycle of systematic harassment. You are so brave!! I bet it makes you proud to look in that mirror! Atta boy!!
What the fuck is wrong with you guest? Sometimes it's best just to forgive and forget. I have no respect for people like you who like to go on moral crusades. When you grow up, hopefully you will lose that mis-placed "passion", or risk losing all of your friends. You will never be happy because you will be surrounded by a swirling vortex of inequality and injustice. The world will be an ugly place and you will soon sink into a deep, angry depression. When you are old and grey and on your death bed, you will look back and say "I wish I had been less angry. I wish I had learnt to control it", but by then it will be too late; your life will have been wasted and nobody will be around to care.
Oh dear. While you all are telling women to get raped and attracting the huge amounts of rewards and respect that deserves, I will be dying a bitter cold death alone. No sexual assault for me, and that leaves me friendless, lifeless, and alone on my deathbed. I will be screaming "Why didn't I just harass women?! WHY COULDN'T I HAVE THREATENED JUST A FEW? DEAR GOD WHY?"

Thank you for showing me the error of my ways. I am going out to disrespect some girls right now! I shall not die alone, no siree!
I am sorry that happened to you. Me too, I've been getting help though. It's not this post they are talking about, he told another woman to "get raped" on a post a few days ago.
I am glad you weren't upset by it. I asked Saviourself to post that graphic that was commented on from a message board she runs for survivors of sexual assault, which is why it had the title it did.
I don't believe there is anything that is more hateful or done with more ill will than wishing rape on someone. By turning around and telling that person look, you just wished rape, you rape wished you, what does that make you? I don't see that as hate- that is a mirror. I hope they are so offended. Deeply. Because words matter, and being held accountable for them is something they should learn. If they are offended, don't use the threats.
But, as alwaysreva said, Calm and the guest were both hate bashing, too. Talking about a "hater" by being hateful doesn't help anyone and doesn't solve the situation. I've been beaten and raped by an ex and his best friend and although I don't condone whatever Therza said, I don't think we can be massive douchebags about it either. I don't think he was serious and people threaten stuff all the time in a joking manner. Sure it wasn't very tasteful of him to say, but we all say things that aren't. I'm a bitch and know when to apologize (cough cough alwaysreva, sorry about last night) but other people, when they are attacked and satirized don't want to apologize, which is why I believe Therza hasn't said anything more. No one wants to apologize when they're being forced to bow down.
Also, this post wasn't even about rape, it was about gay marriage. Second, can't we give him a bit of brownie points for this post? Let things even out a little?
He did not tell her to get raped as a joke, he told her to get raped because she spoke out against him using sexual assault humor. That is a big difference. Women are made yo fear rape all the time, we have to always be aware that there is a possibility that maybe today, maybe tomorrow, we or our sister or are friend will be raped. Look here, three women, all have been raped. Yet men still think it's not a big thing, that they can use it to shut women up who they don't agree with. They can use it to threaten what they know we fear. So no, it's not even.
I didn't see the post but what I gathered was that he was joking around. I must be wrong! But, men can get raped too, so I don't think we should focus on women. Rape is very serious but if we can't talk about different view points without becoming offended, what can we saw for ourselves as people? That's my view on it. We live in a place where freedom of speech is praised and fought for, but when someone says something blatantly fucked up, we get upset. Let's all just have some tougher skin, or look the other way and ignore the fucked up people instead of letting them phase us. Words and actions are two different things, and until he acts on his threat, can we forget about it? I think that everyone is different and everyone obviously reacts differently, but getting into a long argument/discussion doesn't solve problems. If you want to do something valuable about rape, rape culture, rape victims, then get off your butt and go out and make an impact. No one here is being impacted.
So let's quit talking about it and take action because words on a screen have little to no value :) You want to be an advocate for rape victims, then go do it. Don't preach on the internet. Preach in real life, on the street, on a stage, wherever. But one person saying something messed up and us all talking back doesn't fix the problem, it doesn't make anyone want to be nice and get along because we're all arguing! Just my thoughts on it.
They had stopped talking about it, days ago. I understand your words better now that I know you didn't actually know what they were talking about, that makes a large difference.
There is a lot to be said for examining what you tolerate- different people have different levels they are willing to accept. You don't have to justify yours to me or anyone else, and I don't have to justify mine to anyone either. Personally the day I started standing up for myself and what mattered is when I took my life back. It's how I heal.
I agree this forum has served it's purpose, and it's time to move on. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
No problem :) Thanks for not being a douche and understanding! I've just found that we need to forgive and forget or we ruin ourselves. The other person will never hold on to the past because they don't care, but by dwelling on it, we only mess ourselves up.
