I hate calling people over the phone. While it's ringing I plan out what I'm gonna say carefully and when the other person starts talking I forget all what I planned to say. Or they say something I wasn't expecting and I start stuttering out my words •-•

So, I don't have this problem, but I have kind of an opposite problem which is sometimes awful and sometimes hilarious.
I am an extrovert x100. I will walk up to and introduce myself to anyone I don't recognize in my regular social circles or any random person I chat up at the grocery store or park or wherever. However, about ten years ago, I had a traumatic brain injury that messed with my facial recognition ability. I have to meet someone many times and start to get to know them--especially things other than face like mannerisms and voice--before I recognize them. So, among my friends and new people I meet there is a running joke about how many times I've come up to you and said, "Hi, my name is Edna Atongrind. Are you new here?"
I know it's not totally relevant, but it's silly. Sometimes extroverts are totally awkward, too.
