So Russia is protecting a very important country to them (preventing it falling into the hands of the west)... Please tell me america wouldn't do the exact same thing if Russia or china/ or north Korea were to take over a military base with similar importance.
Educate your self. We in the west are just as bad but our corruption is hidden, through lobbyists and corporate donations, private prisions etc
Though I have to agree to you in the point that there are lots (really lots) of things wrong in the west, I'm pretty sure that Russia is not protecting the Ukraine respectively Crimea peninsula from "falling into the hands of the west" but trying to reannex it since it has been part of the Soviet Union before and the majority of its inhabitants are russian or have russian ancestors. Crimea has an autonomous government which is pro-russian and would probably approve a reunion with Russia. Nevertheless Russian forces (and Ukrainian pro-russian separatists) have gained control over Ukraine's territory without its permission and have furthermore installed heavy war machinery around its boundaries what basically makes it an invasion. So, please, educate YOURSELF.
Ahem... 54% to 58% of Crimea are Russian. Russian pensioners. Old people that only need money and don't work and don't reproduce. While the Tatar and Ukrainian population rises, the Russian will drop. If Crimea wants to separate itself from Ukraine, go ahead. The way they make most of their money is from
Tourists, which definitely won't come this summer wight he war going on, which means more money, which means that the prices for everything there will go sky high. They will have to pay to support the country, pay the pensioners, pay for damages, and war to hold it up. So go ahead Russia. Go ahead
