no, not really. you say "Ich liebe dich" just to one person and "Menschen" means 'humans (plural). You can say "Ich liebe euch, Menschen." or "Ich liebe dich, Mensch." ^-^
Why is it terrifying and confusing in German? We Germans aren't terrifying and confusing, we are more like sweet little fluffy pink unicorns which fart rainbows :)

There is a stereotype that states that germans always yell or speak loudly and because the german language sounds a bit rough it fits that stereotype a bit, but dont worry about it germans are awesome.
Grüezi! Fröit mi! I am from Ausserhoden, A german speaking Canton in Switzerland. We actually speak one of the only dialects of the german, which is Swiss German, which is basically the same as the german, but we leave out some letter in Words.
(Example Ich bin von Ausserhoden= becomes Ich bi vo Ausserhoden)
Their response "ICH LEIBE DICH AUCH!" Thank you to whoever posted this, because your post gave me courage. (And a cover in case I got rejected , but that didn't happen!)
I was so wondering why the title is German
Woher kommst du?
I'd like that, though
(Example Ich bin von Ausserhoden= becomes Ich bi vo Ausserhoden)
