Hate to burst the bubble, but venomous snakes are more dangerous when they're babies. They can't control the amount of venom they inject when they bite and end up emptying their venom pits. Adults have more control and sometimes give dry bites where no venom is injected at all. But this looks to be a young garter snake, so it's safe.
