I find it worse when it's only like 40 degrees Fahrenheit and your American friend say 40 degrees and you assume that they mean Celsius and freak out thinking you're going to get to usa and burn your ass off

To me it always seemed like Fahrenheit made everything sound so dramatic. Especially in Texas. "40 days with triple digit weather" like if you had that in Celsius then it would be a really bad idea to be living there

Human blood boils at 100° C. So yeah, I guess that would be 'really bad'

The first time I read a cake recipe and it said pre heat oven to 350 degrees, I cried my eyes out because the highest temperature on my oven was 220 degrees C. I was 8 then, I guess.

In Prisoner of Azkaban (the movie) there was a scene in the beginning and a guy on the radio said there was a massive heat wave of 90 degrees Celsius. Needless to say as an American, I didn't think it was a big deal at the time

It makes me cringe that Star Trek IV put the fake Monterey Bay Aquarium in San Francisco.

One problem with this.....William Shatner is Canadian.
