Main language is Spanish (Castellano) everyone seaks it, then in Cataluña they speak Catalán, in Los Paises Vascos they speak Euskera (also known as Vasco [Bask]), and in Galicia they speak (Gallego)
Bask and Basque, depends on the English you speak I suppose. And not everyone speaks Spanish, it's quite ridiculous... I'm from Barcelona, but I do: ) can't speak Basque or Gallician!
In Galicia I know some people who don't speak any Castellano but they really aren't that different. Although Galician is closer to Portuguese than Castellano.
Most people do Speak Castellano. And Euskera is the inly language that doesnt come from latin I think. So they are quitedifferent. And no, many spanish people dont speak gallego, euskera and/or catalan
I was just making the point. I found it ridiculous that we had to study Spanish as a second language in Spain. Yes, a lot of them do, I'm quite divided about the subject.
YES its like. OMG you are in Spain, lets do second language! Hell where I am it is FOREIGN language! People actually payed a fortune for 'Peter quiere pan. Adonde va? A la panaderia, a la carniceria o a la piscina'. I skiped that exam and Im gonna do first language next year.
And yeah I am divided about it too
