I'm no expert on the bubonic plague, although I did do a research paper on it last semester, but I'm fairly certain the part about the evil spirits is not true.
Yea didn't they stuff herbs in the mask noses so they wouldn't get sick

Yes that is exactly why they did that. And it wasn't so much that they didn't want to smell the rotting bodies it was that they thought the plague was airborn so they didn't want to get sick themselves.
Actually, many of them didn't realise that is was an airborne disease, during this time everyone was very superstitious and it was mainly to ward off evil spirits, they sold herbs and thing in little bag like good luck charms. They didn't realise that the masks actually protected them from breathing in the disease. I'm not saying that's they had no idea about it being airborne, just that everyone was very superstitious during that time.

Again, I'm no expert but I've done my research and no where I've read said anything about the masks being used to ward off evil spirits. If you find concluding evidence that supports your claim then I will believe, until then I will simply dismiss it.
They didn't stuff the masks to ward off spirits. They believed in the miasma theory of disease which said that disease was caused by the smell. They filled the masks with strong smelling herbs. Needless to say they dropped like flies.
People thought bubonic plague was carried in the scent, which is why they used the herbs in the beaks. That's also the meaning of Ring Around the Rosies (the song), where they describe the flushed cheeks and circular infected areas of the victims (ring around the rosies), then how people would carry good smelling things to ward off the disease (a pocket full of posies), then "achoo achoo we all fall down" is people dying.
Maybe if school put as much effort into being interesting as I'm sure the makers of Assassins Creed do it'd be a lot easier to pay attention to it.

You can't blame school for not being as interesting as a video game - the schools do put the effort in, but what they do lasts 12 years (or longer) and a game lasts a few hours, as well as you have to learn subjects you may not be that interested in at school but you chose to play Assassin's Creed. You've actually got to try and not expect everything just to magically be given to you.
Oh please. School puts effort into being interesting? When was the last time you were in a school? Why would they even try to be interesting? Its not like they lose their 'customers.' A game on the other hand has to actually convince you to buy it. School forces people to pay for it (in America). I got good grades in school. I paid attention. I took notes. However the only useful thing I learned in school after elementary was algebra. I viciously regret not doodling and sleeping more often in class.
Excuse me? I pay attention and I take notes. I do everything I possibly can to do good in school. I have decent grades. Actually, in history (what assassins creed is based on) I have one of the highest grades in the class. But if schools actually made the lessons as interesting as the games maybe more people would pay attention and learn something. Especially the kids with ADD who don't really pay attention anyway and it would give them something interesting to focus on.
The mask was scary to ward off spirits

The mask was stuffed with herbs to purify the air. It was believed that miasma, or poisonous vapors associated with decomposition and foul air, was the cause of disease.
