Daft punk are gods, people know they've been in the music business for a LONG time but what they don't realise is how much they have affected the styles of the last 25ish years, they literally revolutionised music.

I actually can't stand Daft Punk. Another band that hides their faces is Slipknot i much prefer their music and i honestly would never say any group are considered gods they are just people. Their music isn't that great. They only "revolutionized" pop so to speak since that is what i consider them.

They are just people, but what I was trying to imply was that they changed the way music was made and produced as well as the sound; they used a lot of different sounds that affected more than just pop music.

Daft punk never breaks up or dies or whatever, whenever something happens a new person takes the mask and this way daft punk lives forever.

While that may have been their initial intent, it doesn't really work anymore, in fact I'd say it has the opposite effect. I would take a guess that if you showed a bunch of random people a picture of them with their helmets and then several other more popular singers (excluding any that are constantly in the news for crap other than music) just as many, if not more, would be able to recognize them. Their helmets just make them stand out that much more because they can't be mistaken for anybody else. You might confuse Katy Perry with Zooey Deschanel, you aren't going to confuse Daft punk for anybody else.

They've been in the game since 87? They didn't get nominated for anything until 1997, and didn't win anything until 2009... that doesn't speak God to me...The rolling stones were in the "game" a lot longer, are they gods too?
