No, because the old pope was the first one to ever resign. The other popes before him died and you can't really take all that stuff to the afterlife. They were following the tradition, so the new pope got all the stuff passed down but decided not to use it. (Pope enthusiasts, correct me if I'm wrong)
I went to a christian school but it was a 'protestants' christian school (I don't know the English word for protestants) so I learned a lot about christianity and the bible. And in my new school we have lessons about religions in general. We have had christianity and jewism. And the islam is the next chapter
So being an atheist, do you guys still put up a Christmas tree without the pictures of Jesus and God and you don't celebrate Easter except for the egg roll thing

Yes we do, but not as big as in America. Since we have a similarish holliday on December the 5th
I'm not Catholic, but I like Pope Francis. I want to hug this man, he just seems like the most down to Earth grandpa, who is full of Godly knowledge. I bet he'd break it all down and teach it to you if you asked. He just seems like a awesome person, with a truly genuine heart for the people and what he does.
You make perfect sense, thank you again.
