My first grade teacher had a scrub jay do the same thing. She left peanuts for it out on the porch. If she forgot, it'd fly around the house and find the room she was in and tap the window until she remembered. She trained it to fly to her shoulder on command.

I have a squirrel do that to me too. She has these scratches on her back so she has been hurt and only trusts me. I buy expensive Greek nuts just for myself and her, and she now takes them from my hand and let's me touch her
