Between the Second World War or so and 1978 hurricane names were exclusively women's names until it was pointed out that some people thought this was sexist. So now they alternate between male and female. If the storm names were to include "culturally diverse" names (although there's a Pablo, Ernesto and Humberto in there I seem to remember) I suspect there'd be some camps who would claim they were now "victimizing minorities". So most of the names play it safe. Can you imagine if they named a hurricane after Mohamed? It'd be like naming one after Jesus or Buddha or Tom Hiddleston.

Lol. There are too many things wrong with your statement. All black people are ignorant? Oh. "When a black man gets killed by a cop"...why is that something that's glossed over? If your dad, brother, son is killed and your neighbors dad, brother, son are killed as well and your neighbors neighbor and more and more of your community is KILLED I'll be sure to be annoyed by your outrage. It's never relevant until it happens to you. You're what's wrong in the world.

^ and here we have an example of a person who takes a comment and turns it around into something horrible. I'm indian, I would've also been disadvantaged during apartheid, I don't love it. What I meant was that with the current government, things are still terrible. And what's worse is that many black people are even worse of than in the apartheid era. Its a few powerful, rich people who thrive and forget about the rest. And with BEE and the quota system, lots of people are being disadvantaged. So no, I don't love apartheid, but I do believe that if the government doesn't sort itself out, things could end up much worse. I mean, where's the justice in the fact that tens of thousands of south africans are destitute while the president spends over 2 billion (not his own money) on a house? And funnels a vast amount of money to fund his multiple wives? Is this what Mandela fought for? Sorry for the rant, but I hate it when people make everything racist and about apartheid.
