Coming from a country that doesn't tip, I feel bad because the first time I had food in a restaurant overthere I didn't realise I had to tip and left. I've since been told that this is incredibly rude. Tbh I think it's rude that I should have to pay then expected to pay a little extra and considered an asshole when I don't even though it is technically optional.

In Malaysia we don't pay tips either, in my entire life i've only met two people who tip.

Don't some restaurants add the amount the tip should be in the check ?

In Canada , most of our servers make more than their daily wage in tips.... Some provinces even have a lower minimum wage for people in hospitality service , because they makes much on tips.
