Every generation has its flaws. Our generation has an ever-expanding database of limitless knowledge. It's a little hard not to get lost in all the content out there. So those who enjoy that knowledge more than partying or losing themselves will be branded as social outcasts by anyone who isn't part of the internet. But one thing we can never lose sight of is the pursuit of... Pizza.
For example, parents these days are extremely paranoid about child safety and abduction. Therefore, no kids play outside anymore. So kids stay inside and use technology to make up for it. And WHAT does the older generation say? "Back in my day..."
IT'S BLOODY CAUSE-AND-EFFECT. NOBODY GETS IT.
Agreed you can't always control your kid, but the very least you can do is teach them the right things, like streetsmarts.
They call it common sense but there's nothing common about it. Oh well I'm not sure which generation this is referring to, but most kids right now from the age of 15-21 has 0 sense of responsibility. They can do no wrong, nothing is ever their fault. So maybe that's what its referring to?
Most likely. Today's generation is a mix of TOO MUCH independence and
ENOUGH independence. Too much and kids go off and do stupid things, e.g. sex, drugs, etc. On the other hand, you have kids who do so little by themselves that they rely on higher figures for their needs. The problem with today's generation is BALANCE.
*Allow me to rephrase that sentence, because a word got deleted and it makes no sense.
Today's generation is a mix of TOO MUCH independence and ***NOT*** ENOUGH independence.
