When I've put my contacts in the wrong way round

What bothers me is that in the instructions it says that if this happens to you, all you have to do is simply take it out with no problem. In real life it's like a goddamn caterpillar got stuck in your eye and is burning your eyelid closed so you can't take it out.

That gif makes me uncomfortable but I'm not sure why...
